Today was Lauren and Mom date day.  After school we headed to the GR Children's Museum.  We had a blast together laughing, playing, creating, and discovering.  After the museum we went to Fazoli's then to the mall to pick out some summer pjs for her.  Before heading for home we grabbed a couple shakes at McDonalds for dessert.  It was a great date.  At one point during our time together Lauren looked at me and said, "Mom, I love being on a date with you." 
And I thought...we have to do this more often.  Yes, definitely more often.

Okay, does anyone else ever have one of those nights when the weather is beautiful and you start working outside, lose all track of time, and before you know it it's 7:30, everyone's filthy, and no one has planned dinner?  The result?  A Doritos appetizer in the tub to hold you over while Dad and Mom whip up some PB&Js.  {Note the extreme cleanliness of the fingers}  :)
